Job title: Senior Technicians (Soil, Asphalt)

Job Responsibilities:

To assist the Head of Material Testing Department in the operation of physical and mechanical
testing of construction materials, (soil and asphalt and other related constituents).

Main Activities:

• Ensures a tidy workplace in the soil and asphalt area.
• Examines and prepares soil and asphalt samples for testing.
• Issues testing instructions to technicians and assistant technicians.
• Carries out tests and checks the test results.
• Calculates and checks the test results and assists in the preparation of the report.
• Reviews final test reports as directed by the Head of Material Testing Department.
• Maintains and calibrates test equipment in his department.
• Carries out sampling, and testing on site
• Assists in the training of Technicians and Assistant Technicians.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

One year related experience in laboratory testing of construction materials. Good knowledge of ISO 9001
standards requirements and / or of the Quality Management system adopted in the company.

Other Information:

A high degree of professional integrity and the ability to work with others is essential. The ability to remain up
to date with latest technology, plus the ability to absorb new skills and techniques is also most important.
